Environmental & social impact assessment for a coal-to-gas upgrade

The challenge

The modernisation of Almaty CHPP-2 from coal to gas required an in-depth Environmental and Social Impact Assessment to ensure the proposed upgrades met Kazakhstan’s environmental standards and its social and health expectations.
